DI BERARDO, Giulio

On Thursday, May 31, 2012, peacefully amidst the nature he loved and so mindfully cared for, our father, grandfather, brother, and uncle suddenly passed away in his 67th year. Loving father of Anthony (Anna) and daughter Christina; doting grandfather of Julia and Matthew. Affectionately missed and will always be remembered by his life companion, Stefania. Cherished brother of Gina Di Pronio (Cesidio), Pat (Ellie), and Anna Knibbs. Treasured uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Antonio and Lodina Di Berardo, Giulio demonstrated great compassion for his love of his parents making them proud of his life choices and accomplishments. Giulio lived life to the absolute fullest.
He was a multi talented visual artist and musician devoted to his talents with great dedication, determination, and hard work. Giulio was known in the community as the drummer with attitude unselfishly sharing his knowledge, time and passion in providing young musicians with open jams while building their confidence as performers.
He was a self made business man, always full of life, and a proud provider for his loving family. The rhythm of Giulio’s heartbeat will live on in his spirit with us forever.
The family will receive friends at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 796 Upper Gage Avenue (between Fennell and Mohawk), on Saturday, June 2nd from 7-9pm and Sunday, June 3rd from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Prayer Service at the Funeral Home on Sunday evening at 8 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Monday at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 11 Wilson Street West, Ancaster. Entombment at Our Lady of Victory Mausoleum. On-line condolences can be made to www.dermodys.com. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Angel Fund through the Good Shepherd Youth Services of Hamilton (to help street involved youth with mental health difficulties who want to pursue artistic talents). Papa, Nonno, Giulio, and Zio, God Bless you and keep you—you will always be in our hearts and we will love you forever.

I went to school with Giulio's son, Anthony. Anthony, I am so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. I went through the same thing seven years ago. Hopefully our dads will meet in Heaven and strike up a friendship. Keep the memories of your dad alive in your heart and mind.

Although we only knew Giulio the passed couple years it was a friendship that grew quicklyas we're sure many can attest to. It was my honor and pleasure to have shared the stage with Giulio be it at backyard parties or a few Fruit stand Sundays. Thanx for the memories Giulio, you'll truly be missed

Stephinie and DiBerardo Family,

There are no words that can take the pain away at this moment. We will always remember Giulio for his sense of humour, his compassion for music and his joy for life.
Look into your hearts for the strengths to smile when you think of Giulio as I am sure he would have wanted and not shed tears for him but to remember the joy he brought to everybody's life he touched. He will be missed by all who knew him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Stay strong.

Love
Sylvie & Kevin
